Tarmac (tarmacadam) is a long-standing favourite for driveways and surfacing — quick to install, smooth to drive and walk on, and one of the more budget-friendly options for a large area.
We excavate to the right depth, lay a compacted stone sub-base, then lay hot tarmac in a base course and a top surface course, compacting each layer before finishing edges neatly against paving, kerbs or borders. As it's a solid, non-permeable surface, we'll also talk through drainage where it's needed.
